The Marketing Pod, a two-year-old marketing agency based in Solihull, is leading the charge for PR and marketing agencies in the Midlands, after beating off strong competition from London agencies to secure two new contracts with The National Grid and B2B firm Lucy Zodion.
The agency was founded in 2013 by Jenny Hughes and Jodie Williams with zero start-up funds. In the two years since, it has built a strong reputation, grown to a team of nine, and achieved a turnover in excess of £500k. The team has also collected numerous awards for the marketing and PR campaigns that they have delivered for national clients.
Adding to a successful year, The Marketing Pod is currently shortlisted for the ‘New Agency of the Year’ award at the prestigious PR Week Awards, an annual ceremony typically dominated by London based agencies. They are also celebrating four nominations for this year’s Chartered Institute of Public Relations’ Midlands PRide awards, to be announced in November.
Jenny Hughes, co-founder of The Marketing Pod said:
"The Marketing Pod is going from strength to strength, and our recent contract wins and growing portfolio of large clients demonstrates that the Midlands is a thriving place for agencies. The Marketing Pod has certainly earned the chance to compete amongst large London PR agencies, and we are proud to be flying the flag for the Midlands."
The PR Week awards take place on 20th November in London’s Grosvenor House on Park Lane.
