The Marketing Pod is thrilled to have been acknowledged as one of the UK’s Best Workplaces for Wellbeing – with our treasured Pod team saying they felt safe at work and management was easy to talk to.
Wellbeing is a huge priority for our Solihull-based integrated B2B marketing and PR agency, so we’re over the moon to be ranked 14th out of 100 in the 2023 wellbeing list published today by Great Place to Work®, the global authority on workplace culture.
Balance is everything
The list is compiled by Great Place to Work judges who analyse employee surveys to get a feel for employee’s holistic experiences of wellbeing at work. The surveys asked our team to comment on how the Pod supports their work-life balance, sense of fulfilment, job satisfaction, psychological safety and financial security. The Pod was also assessed on how consistently the agency is able to deliver its wellbeing practices and culture. All Pod employees responding to the survey said they felt safe at work, that management was approachable and easy to talk to and that they were treated fairly regardless of race or sexual orientation.
Jodie Williams, Pod co-founder, said: “Wellbeing is at the heart of The Marketing Pod’s workplace culture and we believe a happy, healthy workplace is vital to both productivity and employee hiring and retention. This unique team culture has allowed us to thrive in extremely challenging times, and we are proud that this has been recognised in such a prestigious ranking.”
We’re already a Great Place to Work
The recognition adds to Pod’s Great Place to Work certification, received at the end of last year. All ‘Podsters’ enjoy a hybrid working model, with many working part-time flexible hours. We also offer a private healthcare plan and counselling services, as well as access to the Cycle to Work Scheme, to encourage health and fitness.
“At the heart of every organisation are its people and looking after their wellbeing should be much more than a package of impressive perks on a careers website,” explains Benedict Gautrey, Managing Director of Great Place to Work UK. “We know when employees feel genuinely content and at ease within their roles, they are much more engaged and productive. A huge congratulations to The Marketing Pod for making this prestigious list.”
