Solihull-based marketing and PR agency The Marketing Pod won three awards at Friday's CIPR Pride Awards, including Gold in the Best Business Communications category for the second year in a row.

The PRide Awards are organised by the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR), and are known as the most prestigious regional awards in the public relations industry. The awards recognise outstanding talent across nine regions and reflect best of practice within the industry.

The Marketing Pod dominated the business category after scooping both Gold and Silver in the Best Business Communications category for clients Inenco and ENSEK. The agency also won the silver award for 'Best Integrated Campaign' for client Fit For Sport with a nationwide campaign that successfully highlighted the importance of activity in primary school-aged children.

Jodie Williams, co-founder of The Marketing Pod said:

"Since founding the agency in 2013, The Marketing Pod has grown year-on-year through hard-work, drive and enthusiasm. These awards mean so much to us as they recognise our efforts and how much we have achieved."

"To dominate the business communications category for the second year in a row has cemented our position as a leading agency in this market segment. With recent client wins including National Grid and Lucy Zodion, we hope to build on this success in 2016."

The hat-trick of awards come after a successful 12 months for The Marketing Pod which has seen the company shortlisted for New Agency of the Year at the PRWeek awards as well as listed in the Guardian's small business network in the Best Start Up category.
